For this project, we were assigned a concept project of a non-profit organization Young Women's Empowerment Academy (YWEA), based in Lynchburg, to redesign it in partial and full rebranding. The mission of YWEA is to prepare and propel young women to be successful in the areas of service, influence, education, and entrepreneurship. They aim to empower girls who will change the world by developing strong, confident young women who make healthy and educated life decisions.

In the full rebrand, we implemented significant changes by updating the color palette, refining the typography, redefining the photography style, and introducing new icons and patterns to enhance visual consistency. Each element now works together to strengthen our visual identity and make a lasting impact on our target audience.

  • The Best Overall Rebrand award was presented to the most well-rounded partial and full rebrand of the Young Women’s Empowerment Academy.

  • Best Full Rebrand was awarded to the group of designers that best executed the full rebrand of their organization with little to no feedback of correction from a panel of professors.

  • The Student Choice award was granted to the group that received the most votes from their fellow peers within the competition.
